Night Letter to the Reader

Well the article I was planning on reading for today's post turned out not to be what I had originally thought it was... so we will move forward to some Billy Collins poetry! Max had recommended that I check out Night Letter to The Reader.

Well this poem is littered with metaphors and imagery and even contains an allusion to Shakespeare himself, well his forehead at least.

Billy Collin's also has a meta-textual poem called Sonnet where he discusses the form of the sonnet.
